My work explores the tension between the artificial and the organic, and between beauty and chaos. A reaction to the overwhelming stimulus of capitalism and consumerism in a digital age, I attempt to sort visual and emotional fragments back together, creating expressive puzzles as artifacts.

I’m inspired by the likes of Clyfford Still as well as women folk and fiber artists through history, particularly quilt-makers. I seek comforts of nostalgia, nature, and the mundane, abstracting and transmuting anxious energy with color.
