I developed a brand identity for Lucie Fink’s new podcast, The Real Stuff. Before I started working on the project, her team had already created cover artwork for the podcast, but she needed someone to bring her brand to life across other touch points, like Instagram. The brand identity’s art direction was informed by the podcast’s approach to telling real stories about taboo topics, up close and personal. A big part of the branding was a set of custom illustrations on a variety of topics (sex, mental health, money, etc) to be used in posts. The illustrations can be combined to create new meanings, creating a flexible system that can be used again and again in new ways. I created social media templates on Canva which were passed on to Lucie’s team for ongoing use. Check out they’ve utilized the branding here.
